Japan Small Group Tours FAQ
  • How are the hot spring hotels we will stay in Japan?
For the group tours from Tokyo to Osaka, you will enjoy a night at a hot spring hotel. Unless upon special request, we will not arrange the traditional hot spring hotel with Tatami bed. Instead, we will arrange modern hot spring hotel. If you want to stay in a traditional Japanese Onsen, please inform your representative in advance and we will try to accommodate your need.
  • Are Japan hotel rooms we will stay for group tours small?
Japanese hotels are generally smaller compare with American and European type hotels. A typical room of 4-stars Japanese hotel is about 22 to 29 square meter (or 240 to 310 square foot).
  • What type of meals will be provided for small group tours?
The breakfasts offered by hotels are in buffet styles. Other meals are traditional Japanese cuisine. If you have requested vegetarian meal, Japanese style vegetarian meals will be served. Vegetarian meal in Japan is simple and has to be arranged and ordered in advance. We currently don't serve Indian vegetarian meal.
  • Do we need to pay extra for the attractions in Japan?
Any attractions listed on the itinerary are included in the tour price without additional charge. You do not have to pay extra for admission tickets unless specified, for example the admission to Tokyo Tower. Some small group tours offer optional tours and additional fees apply.
  • Do we need to pay for the meals in Japan?
The tour includes some of the meals, and they are indicated as Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner on the itinerary. Listed meals will be provided without additional cost. For the meals that are not included, our tour guide will recommend local restaurants and you may dine at a restaurant of your choice at your own expense.
  • Can we select the bus seat in advance for my elderly mom?
Usually, seat selection is not allowed. However, considering your mom' situation, you may inform your group travel consultant in advance, so the tour guide can help to reserve a convenient seat for you.
  • Can we stay behind in Japan after the group tour ends?
We can help to arrange the hotel for an extended stay. However, because we have a fix rate with the hotel, sometimes you may find cheaper deals online.
  • What will be provided on the vegetarian meal during Korea tour?
Because of the special diet in Korean Culture, the cuisine usually includes grilled pork, side dishes, and rice. If you request vegetarian meal for your Korean tour, we can only provide mixed vegetables, kimchi, rice, and soybean paste stew. Because most of the meals will be arranged at barbeque restaurants, they do not offer a large variety of vegetarian food. If you want vegetarian food other than the simple vegetarian meal provided, you may consult the tour guide on the local vegetarian restaurants available.
  • How many people will be in each tour group?
Usually there are 15 to 20 people on a tour group, and about 10 people during low season. However, during peak season like Cherry Blossom season, a tour can reach above 15 people.
  • Do I have to pay a single room supplement if I join in the tour group by myself?
If you are traveling alone, single supplement fee will apply because you will have your own room. The single supplement fee is the additional charge to compensate for half of the room price. Because tourists are with different cultural backgrounds and habits, we do not pair up single travelers.
  • How to book a Japan group tour? How much is it cost?
Please refer to our Booking Procedure page for details. Additionally, the price for each group tour is explicitly listed on the product pages. The price depends on the tour as well as the season.
  • May I book a hotel by myself if I join in the group tour?
You need to book the same hotels as those used by the tour group. Since our finalized hotel list will be sent to you about 10 to 12 days before departure date, it will be late and very hard to book the hotels on your own.
  • Is there any age limit for participating in the group tours?
Though there is no age limit for participating in the group, we recommend travelers are in good health condition because there will be about a 3-4 Km walk daily for sightseeing. Also, travel insurance is highly recommended.
  • Do I need to give tips to the drivers and local guide?
Because of the particular culture in Japan, tour guides and drivers generally do not prefer taking tips directly from travelers. Thus, we collect tips in advance and later distribute to them along with their basic salary. However, if you like the service they offered, and you are welcome to give extra tips, preferably in an envelope.
  • Are we guaranteed to get the hotels listed on the itinerary?
The listed hotels are contracted with our company. According to different tour itineraries and dates, we book the hotels in advance. However, in case we cannot book the same hotels, we reserve the right to arrange similar hotels for our group tours. The finalized hotel list with contact information will be provided to you on the final confirmation.
  • What happens if my flight to Narita Airport is delayed?
Our local guide and staffs will be monitoring your flight and they will greet you at the exit gate of terminals of Narita Airport.
