Keio University

Waseda University

University of Tsukuba
Established in 1872 and located in Tsukuba City, the University of Tsukuba was selected as a top class university in the "Top Global University Project" and was a member of Research University 11. The University of Tsukuba is one of the oldest universities in Japan, originated as the Tokyo Normal School founded in 1872. As of February 2015, the University of Tsukuba covers approximately 258 hectares, and one of the largest universities in Japan. It offers 54 majors and 3 professors has won the Nobel Prize. In 2019, it was ranked 9th among Japan universities.
