Disneyland and DisneySea

History
Tokyo Disney Resort is located in Urayasu, Chia, Japan. Tokyo Disneyland was opened in 1983, as the first Disney theme park opened outside of the United States. It is modeled after Disneyland in California and Magic Kingdom in Florida. It was originally a single theme park, Tokyo Disneyland, but then developed into a resort with two theme parks, hotels, and a shopping complex. Tokyo DisneySea opened in 2001 and is a fantasy theme park that is inspired by the myths and legends of the sea. Both theme parks are suitable for all ages, but Tokyo DisneySea may appeal more to grownups as it includes a wider variety of table service restaurants and serving alcoholic beverages.

Major Parks
Tokyo Disney Resort has two theme parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. There are many hotels, shops, theaters and restaurants around the parks. Ikspiari is a shopping mall at Tokyo Disney Resort featuring more than a hundred shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, as well as a cinema.

Tokyo Disneyland is similar to those who have visited the California Disneyland, as there are six different areas known for their own unique theme, with rides and attractions, restaurants, and shops. At Tokyo DisneySea, it features a nautical theme, with ports instead of lands like at Disneyland. Each port has its own unique theme with attractions, restaurants, and shops offering a more scenic and picturesque view. You get a chance to meet all your favorite Disney characters.
