How to get to Shiga Kogen from Tokyo? If you want an amazing skiing holiday in Japan, Shiga kogen is the place to go! Nagano Jigokudani Monkey Park: In the Valley of Yokoyu River of the Nagano, there is a unique attraction, Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park. Established in 1964, the Jigokudani has been known as the place to see Japanese wild monkeys bathing in the hot springs. These wild monkeys come down from the mountains to bathe. They tend to spend a lot of time in the baths between December and March to protect themselves against the cold weather conditions.
