Hakone Shrine
The Hakone Shrine is about 10 km away from Gora Kansuiro Ryokan. It is one of the most popular attractions in Japan and you may experience the culture and history of Japan. The Hakone Shrine is well-known for the iconic sight of its large red ‘torii’ gate sitting in the waters of Lake Ashi. 

Lake Ashi, also known as Hakone Lake and Ashinoko Lake, is one of the must-see sightseeing spots in Mt. Fuji area. The entire lake amounts to 2.75 square miles, and the maximum depth reaches 43.5 meters. On the east side of the lake stands the iconic Hakone Jinjya Heiwa-no-Torii, which is a giant shrine flowing on the water surface. Taking a boat ride on the tranquil Lake Ashi is believed to drive away any stress and weariness from fast paced urban life.
